Our SERPs are Looking Great!

After just six months online, Print Workshop Central‘s SERPs (Geeky acronym for “search-engine results pages”) are looking great. For the search term “print workshops” Print Workshop Central appears in first and second place in Yahoo and thirteenth in Google . Results in other search engines are as follows:
- Ask.com – First
- Excite.com – First
- Dogpile.com – Fourth and eighth
- Metacrawler.com – Fourth and ninth
- Icerocket.com – Seventh and ninth
I suspect these favorable rankings are due to the recent flurry of debate on Print Workshop Central on the subject of Giclee Fraud. Search engines give a lot of weight to site participation. We’re delighted to receive such preferential treatment in the search engines so early in the game, because it not only makes us look good. It makes our members look good.
So, congratulations to all of us!
P.S. Would you like to make first place in Google, too? Keep participating!

More improvement! This SERP information was posted on December 27. Today, less than a month later, if you search for “print workshops” on Google, you’ll find that Print Workshop Central has jumped from number 13, on the second page of results, to number four, on the top half of page one.
This is thanks to you, the participating printmakers.
Can’t thank you enough. Keep up the good work.
